Impressions d'Encre est un groupe international de graveurs, né de la volonté de Madame Kim Myoung-Nam de rassembler des artistes diplômés de l'école des Beaux-Arts de Versailles autour de la gravure.

Ce collectif voit le jour en 2009. Tous sont des artistes professionnels dont les parcours sont reconnus au travers d'expositions tant ne France qu'à l'international. 

Impressions d'Encre se rassemble pour présenter au public des œuvres différentes au moyen d'une scénographie exigeante et résolument contemporaine.

Mettre la gravure à l'honneur, en respectant l'héritage de la tradition, développer un langage propre, s'ouvrir aux techniques innovantes pour une expression très actuelle. Investir l'espace à une échelle rarissime, travailler sur une présentation plastique hors des cimaises ouvrant ainsi de nouvelles voies à cet art "des espaces fermés et des formats plus intimes". Faisant preuve d'un remarquable équilibre entre l'utilisation subtile et originale d'un patrimoine de savoir-faire irremplaçables, Impressions d'Encre s'exprime par une puissante volonté de contemporanéité ouverte et novatrice.

Chaque artiste transmet ainsi dans sa création le sentiment d'une nécessité, celui de dire que la transmission se fait dans une exigence multiple d'ouverture dans l'authenticité créatrice, symbole d'une liberté intérieure vitale.

Impressions d'Encre is an international group of engravers, born from the desire of Mrs Kim Myoung-Nam, to bring together artists aroung engraving, all graduate from Versailles's art school. This collective is born in 2009.

All members are Professional artists whose paths are recognised through exhibitions both in France and abroad.

Impressions d'Encre gathers to present to the public different works through a demanding and resolutely contemporary scenography.

Put  the engraving in the honor, respecting the inheritance of the tradition, to develop a clean language, to be opened to the innovating techniques for a very current expression. Investing space on a rare scale, working on a plastic presentation outside the walls thus opening new avenues to this art "closed spaces and more intimate formats". Demonstrating a remarquable balance between the subtle and original use of a heritage of irreplaceable know-how, Impressions d'Encre expresses itself through a powerful desire for open and innovative contemporaneity.

Each artist thus transmits in his creation, the feeling of a necessity, that of saying that the transmission is done in a multiple demand of opening, in the creative authenticity, symbol of a vital interior freedom.

• June 2017: Print Day, place St Sulpice, Paris (participation every year since 2009)
